Muay Thai, Yoga and Countryside Fitness Week in Phetchabun, Thailand

Muay Thai, Yoga and Countryside Fitness Week in Phetchabun, Thailand

Thailand · 7 days · From THB 15800

Days revolve around the camp's 06:00 to 20:00 opening hours, with Muay Thai training as the core of the programme and CrossFit, swimming and hikes filling out the rest. The gym has a full boxing ring, heavy bags and sparring equipment, plus dumbbells, a barbell bench press, a glutes machine, a chest press machine, an elliptical and a pull-up bar. Sessions are open to all levels, so complete beginners train alongside people who have been at it for years.

What separates this from a standard Thai fight camp is where it is. Bueng Sam Phan is in Phetchabun province, largely untouched by tourism, and the camp is the Keawma family home. Elder Pau has trained since the age of four and has coached fighters competing from local carnivals to Bangkok's big stages. The family has lived in the area for more than 100 years. Noi, his daughter, has years of hospitality experience and handles guests, food and trips to the surrounding beauty spots.

The camp has grown from seven lodges to 40 and holds a 2022 Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice award, ranking in the top 10% of properties on the site, plus a Five Star Professional Muaythai Camp Certification from the Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The gym itself has air conditioning, showers, free WiFi, towels, free bottled water, parking and a cafe.

A seven-day version with yoga, meditation and temple tours is also sold, and longer 30- and 60-day programmes are available for people who want to learn to fight properly. The 30-day options include an all-inclusive Muay Thai and yoga programme and a weight loss and detox retreat.
