Muay Thai & Yoga Wellness Retreat in Rural Thailand

Muay Thai & Yoga Wellness Retreat in Rural Thailand

Thailand · 14 days · From USD 1075

Battle Conquer sits in the middle of rice fields in Phetchabun province, about 340km north of Bangkok. The Keawma family have lived here for decades, running farmlands and teaching Muay Thai to locals. Noi, the owner, worked in hospitality at top Bangkok hotels before coming home to start the camp with her father Pau, who has trained fighters for years. The family's Buddhist way of life is part of the experience—guests eat with the family, join temple visits, and get a rare look at how people actually live in rural Thailand.

The training is serious but accessible. Muay Thai group sessions run twice daily from Monday to Saturday, with an afternoon class on Sundays. Sessions include shadow boxing, bag work, and one-on-one pad work mixed with HIIT—expect 3-minute rounds with active recovery exercises. There's a weekly technique class covering grappling and sparring, and Western Boxing is cross-trained alongside the Muay Thai. Head coach Game has over 200 fights to his name and is known for his fun personality, while Ruk and Yo are also key instructors. The gym accepts all levels—you don't need any martial arts experience to join.

Yoga is led by Laura Beattie, a certified yoga teacher from Scotland with 20 years of experience, who also works as a personal life coach and nutritionist. She teaches up to five classes a day, seven days a week, including specialist options like pranayama, philosophy, aerial, and pilates. Her background in social work means she's also trained in trauma-informed yoga. Sunday brings an extended morning class.

The week is structured around your goals—you tell them what you want to work on, and they'll help you plan. There are temple tours, nature walks, a jungle trail to a waterfall, and the famous Buddha Run Challenge, where you climb 300 steep steps to a hillside temple as many times as you can in an hour. There's also a weekly Thai cooking class and a visit to feed the monkeys and fish at local temples. The balance of physical training, cultural experiences, and rest is what makes this retreat different from a pure fight camp or a beach resort.
