Phuket 1-Month Fitness & Muay Thai Reset

Phuket 1-Month Fitness & Muay Thai Reset

Thailand · 28 days · From EUR 1800

Action Point Phuket runs month-long fitness and weight-loss retreats out of its own camp in Phuket, Thailand. The days are full but not punishing: a typical morning is Muay Thai or a strength and conditioning circuit, an afternoon session of yoga, mobility or a second training block, and recovery slots built in so you don't burn out by week three. Trainers are on the floor for every session, correcting technique and pushing the pace where it's needed.

The programme leans heavily on Muay Thai — this is Thailand, and the pad work and bag rounds are the backbone of the cardio. Alongside that you get weight training, bodyweight circuits, core work, and yoga, which is scheduled most days as the counterbalance to all the striking and lifting. If you want to lose weight, the trainers will steer you toward the fat-loss sessions; if you'd rather build strength and mobility, they adjust the split. Everything is discussed at the start and reviewed weekly.

Food is a big part of why people get results here. Three meals a day are cooked on site, portioned, and built around lean protein, rice, vegetables and Thai flavours — not boiled chicken and broccoli every day. Dietary requirements are handled if you flag them in advance. Most guests eat together at long tables, which sounds like a small thing but ends up being one of the main reasons people stick with the month.

The camp is in Phuket, close enough to the coast that you can be at the beach in a short ride, and the training areas are open-air. That matters more than it sounds — training in tropical heat with fans running is a different experience from a basement gym, and the setting is part of why the month feels like a break as well as a programme. There's also free time in the afternoons and on rest days to explore the island, take a boat trip, or just lie by the pool.

What separates this from a shorter fitness holiday is the length. Four weeks gives you time to build a routine, get past the sore first week, and actually learn the skills — Muay Thai in particular takes more than a few days to click. It also means the group bonds. People who arrive alone tend to leave with a set of contacts and, quite often, plans to come back.
