Home › Retreats › Phuket Cleanse: All-Inclusive Fitness, Muay Thai & Wellness Retreat in Rawai
Thailand · 7 days · From USD 280
A typical day at Phuket Cleanse starts early. You might join a fitness session, a Muay Thai class or a yoga class before breakfast. Breakfast is included and follows the retreat's clean-eating approach: organic, no seed oils, with options for keto, plant-based or intermittent fasting. After that, the day opens up. There are classes running throughout the day, from strength and conditioning to breathwork, meditation and longevity workshops. You choose what you attend. Some guests do five sessions a day; others do one and spend the rest of the time by the pool or at the beach.
Recovery is built into the week. The ice bath, infrared sauna, herbal steam room, magnesium float tank, red light therapy and compression therapy are all available every day at no extra cost. Three massages per week are included, with Thai, oil, sports, percussion and cupping on the menu. The retreat also runs excursions, cooking classes and walks, and you can swim in the ocean nearby.
The food is a big part of why people come back. It is organic, seed-oil-free and prepared with metabolic health in mind. You can follow keto, fasting protocols or plant-based eating, and the kitchen adjusts to dietary needs. Guests eat together at a long table, which is how most people meet. By Tuesday, the group tends to feel less like strangers.
What makes Phuket Cleanse different from a standard fitness retreat is the range. In one week you can train Muay Thai, do a breathwork session, sit in a longevity lecture, have a massage, use the float tank and take a cooking class. The retreat also offers Superhuman experiences: breathwork, shamanic journeys and consciousness work for guests who want to go further. These are optional and run alongside the main programme.
Owner Stanton Procter is involved in the daily running and often teaches or leads sessions. Melanie Procter co-owns the retreat. The couple founded it in 2010 and have been on site since. The retreat is rated 5.0 on TripAdvisor from 687 reviews and was ranked #2 of 967 properties in Rawai. About 60% of guests return every year.
Rawai is on the south coast of Phuket, about an hour from the airport. The retreat is spread across five properties within walking distance of each other. The area has beaches, local restaurants and a relaxed pace compared to the busier west coast. Guests can walk to the ocean for a swim or join organised excursions.
