Private Sauna Wellness Suite for Two in the Belgian Ardennes

The Wellness Suite sits inside the inn itself, a few steps from The Kingdom of Dreams restaurant, so you're not walking across a dark car park to get to dinner. Inside there's a double bed, a sitting area and a kitchen, plus the infrared sauna and a freestanding bathtub. The windows look over the valley.

The sauna is infrared rather than traditional: gentler radiant heat that's easier to sit in for longer, and good for loosening up legs after a day on the Ardennes trails. There's no time slot and no queue — it's in your suite, so it's yours for the whole stay.

La Truite d'Argent is an adults-only estate, which is the detail that shapes the atmosphere more than anything else. No children's voices, no groups filling the place up. Couples come here to do very little: walk, eat, sit in the sauna, sleep.

Houffalize is the nearest town, in the Belgian Ardennes, with forest walks and the Ourthe river close by. It's walking country first and foremost — muddy boots are more useful here than anything else you might pack.

If you want more space than a suite, the same estate also has a Chalet Mont Juru. For a longer stay, the two-night option with dinner and breakfast is the simplest way to book it: sauna use is unlimited either way, and a few days before you arrive they email you the dinner menu so you can choose in advance.
