Recharge Yoga Week in Ibiza & the Lake District — Daily Classes, Vegetarian Food, Small Groups

Lake District · 5 days · From USD 1200

Days start early but not brutally. Expect a 90-minute morning yoga class — vinyasa or hatha depending on the teacher and the group — before breakfast. Breakfast is vegetarian, cooked fresh, and generous: porridge, fruit, eggs, good bread, coffee. The rest of the morning is free. In Ibiza that means the pool, the garden, a walk down the lane, or a drive to a nearby beach. In the Lake District it usually means a fell walk or a swim in one of the lakes.

Afternoons bring a second, slower practice: yin, restorative, or a workshop-style session where teachers break down alignment or breathing technique. Then dinner, again vegetarian, again cooked on site — the team has been running the same kitchen for years and it shows. Evenings are social but low-key. People drink wine sometimes, talk, play cards, or go to bed early because the morning class is at 7:30.

What separates this from the dozens of other Ibiza yoga weeks is the teaching continuity. Madeline and Andrea are the two names that come up repeatedly in guest reviews — both have years of teaching behind them, and both are on site for the full retreat rather than flying in for a guest slot. Guests describe the classes as "challenging yet gentle," with modifications offered for beginners and more advanced options for people who've practised for years. That balance is the reason people rebook.

The venues are deliberately quiet. The Ibiza property sits in the countryside rather than on the San Antonio strip — you're not competing with club noise. The Lake District house is similarly removed, with walking straight from the door. Both have enough outdoor space that you can find a corner to yourself if you want one, which matters more than it sounds on a five-day retreat with the same 15 people.

The food deserves its own mention. It's fully vegetarian, cooked from scratch daily, and reviewers single it out more often than they mention the yoga. Nothing fancy — pulses, grains, roasted vegetables, salads, occasional eggs, fruit — but done well and in quantity. Dietary requirements are handled if you flag them at booking.

Finally, the team isn't only teachers. There's a chef and, on some weeks, a therapist offering treatments. That structure — teachers, hosts, chef, therapist — is why the weeks run smoothly rather than feeling like a group of strangers cooking for each other.
