The week runs from Monday 13 to Saturday 18 April 2026. You arrive between 4 and 6pm on the Monday, settle in, and meet the group at a 6pm opening practice and circle before dinner at 8pm. If you're coming by train, the TGV from Paris to Lorient takes about three hours. The group usually carpools from Lorient station, with a meeting point around 3 to 4pm on arrival day.
Tuesday to Friday follow the same rhythm. From 8 to 10am there's a morning session of yoga postures, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation, and brunch is at 10:30. Then comes 'The Pause', a long free stretch in the middle of the day. You can swim in the spring-fed pool, sit in the sauna, walk the trails, read, write, or book a one-to-one session with Céline. From 2 to 4pm there are small-group workshops on Ayurveda and personalised teaching, followed by tea, fresh fruit and homemade snacks. From 5 to 7pm there's either a ceremony or a second full practice, then dinner at 7:30. The evening ends at the fire pit with satsang (an open discussion) and chanting.
The yoga is gentle and traditional rather than athletic. Each day's practice is built around the five elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether) and the three doshas (vata, pitta and kapha), so the postures, breathing and mantras change as the week goes on. Meditation sessions vary too: some guided, some dynamic, some sitting in silence. In total there are about 40 hours of teaching on site, on top of the online sessions beforehand. Past guests from Céline's Portugal retreats say the classes, workshops and even the food lined up with whichever dosha was being studied that day.
What separates this from a typical yoga week is the two-phase set-up. Phase one is online: eight weekly 45-minute sessions, each opening with a short sharing slot, then a 30-minute lesson on one theme from the yogic texts or Ayurveda. There's also one private online session of about an hour to set goals for the retreat. Phase two is the week in Brittany itself. The idea is that you arrive already knowing the basics, so the six days go deeper rather than starting from zero.
Céline trained at the Eka Yoga Institute (RYS500, Yoga Alliance) and the French Yoga Institute, and runs Yoga Ways retreats in Portugal and, in earlier years, Bali. Her classes are known for being adapted to each person, whatever their age or physical ability. Ivan and Audrey, who own and run Domaine de Coat Cren, join as guest teachers for the fire and water ceremonies, which they learned while living in India and Bali.
The last morning, Saturday, has an 8am practice and closing ceremony, brunch at 10, and check-out around 11am. Ayurvedic massages, treatments and akashic consultations are available on site throughout the week at extra cost. The programme can shift a little with the weather.
