Home › Retreats › Sri Lanka Surf & Yoga Camp in Weligama: Ride Consistent Waves, Do Daily Yoga, and Live the Island Life
Sri Lanka · 7 days · From USD 25
A typical day at Kima Weligama starts early. Breakfast runs 7–11:30am — fresh fruit juice, a starter like fruit salad or pancakes, and a main of eggs or curry. Then you check the digital surf planner (filled in the day before) to pick your sessions. Guided surf trips go out twice a day, seven days a week, in tuk-tuks to breaks around southern Sri Lanka. Groups are split by skill level, and the guides take tide, swell and wind into account. Beginners stay on the beach breaks right in front of camp; intermediates and advanced head to reef and semi-reef breaks nearby. Some sessions are filmed for video analysis — up to six times a week — and there are theory lessons six times a week too. Yoga is at 1pm and 6pm Monday to Friday, and 1pm Saturday, with styles including Hatha, Yin and Ashtanga. Ice baths run three times a week. Dinner is included five nights (Monday to Friday), either at camp or beachside, and Friday nights there's a barbecue. Free coffee and tea flow from 6am to 6pm, and water dispensers around camp mean you can refill your bottle whenever.
