Sri Lanka · 7 days · From EUR 319
Every camp on this list is a one-week package, though the mix of what's included varies. Some are full board with three yoga sessions and cross training built in; others are breakfast-only with two yoga classes and no meals beyond that. A few, like the camp in Tamraght, Morocco, go the boutique route with gourmet meals and spa access, while the Algarve surf lodge includes a pool and sea views.
Surf lessons are run by ISA and ISLA-certified instructors, and groups are split by ability. As a complete beginner you get more intensive coaching and simpler beach-break spots. If you already surf, you can join guided sessions at different spots or just rent a board and go. Board rental is flexible at the camps, so you can swap boards as conditions change.
The camps span a wide range of countries and conditions. France's Atlantic coast around Moliets and Seignosse offers consistent beach breaks. Portugal's Algarve and Peniche deliver point breaks and barrels for more experienced surfers, plus reliable beginner waves. Fuerteventura stays warm year-round. Morocco's Aourir and Tamraght give you beachfront setups with sea views, and Sri Lanka's Kathaluwa puts you directly on the sand.
Some camps are aimed at specific groups. There's a 24+ camp in Moliets for slightly older guests, and a family camp where kids surf, parents surf or do yoga, and everyone gets something out of the week. Solo travelers are common on all of them.
The operator has been running surf camps for over 15 years and has more than 20 countries on its books. You can filter by destination, travel month, surf level and camp type (like Surf & Yoga) to narrow down the options. Arrival logistics are handled too — shuttle buses from Germany to France, or airport transfers and flight-finding help if you're flying in.
If you want to go all-in on surfing, pick a full-board camp with daily lessons. If you'd rather mix it up, the camps with yoga, cross training and trekking built in give you a more varied week without losing the surf time.
