Home › Retreats › Thailand Wellness Escape: Yoga, Meditation & Muay Thai in Rural Phetchabun
Thailand · 5 days · From USD 420
The retreat runs across five days at a rural property in Phetchabun province, roughly in the middle of northern Thailand between Bangkok and the Laos border. The land around it is agricultural — rice paddies, orchards, and small farms — with the Phetchabun mountains forming a green backdrop. You're not near a city, and that's deliberate: the point is to be somewhere quiet enough that the yoga and meditation actually land.
Daily structure is consistent but not rigid. Expect a yoga and stretching session early, breakfast after, then a block of Muay Thai or fitness training once the day has warmed up. Afternoons are typically freer — swimming, rest, or an excursion — with another shorter session and dinner in the evening. Meditation is woven through the week rather than treated as a separate add-on, and if you've never thrown a Muay Thai kick before, the trainers will start you from basics.
What separates this from a standard Thai fitness camp is the mix. Most camps lean hard into one discipline — Muay Thai only, or yoga only. Here you're doing both, plus general conditioning, across a short enough window that you can try all of it. It suits someone who wants to sample Muay Thai without committing to a month-long fight camp, and who also wants the slower, quieter side of a wellness break.
Accommodation is on-site in one of four room types: a Saloon Room with pool view, a Pool Side Room, a Farm Lodge, and a Family Hotel room. All of them sit within the same property, so you walk to the training area, the pool, and the dining space rather than commuting. Rooms are simple and practical rather than luxurious — this is a farm setting, not a resort.
Food is a proper part of the programme. Meals are prepared for the group, adjusted for dietary needs, and timed around training so you're not eating heavily right before a session. The kitchen works with what's local, which in this part of Thailand means a lot of fresh vegetables, rice, and grilled proteins.
Beyond the property, the week leaves room for nearby temple visits and jungle walks. Phetchabun province has a handful of significant temples and national park land within reach, and the retreat leader can arrange outings. It's a genuinely rural corner of Thailand — expect early sunrises, birdsong, and very little traffic noise.
