Tortuga Surf Summer Camp 2026: A Week of Surf and Water Sports for Ages 8 to 15

The camp runs for seven days per session, with three sessions in 2026: 20–27 June, 27 June–4 July, and 4–11 July. Each week follows the same shape: water sports lessons in the morning and afternoon, mixed with theory sessions, plus the excursions and special activities that make up the rest of the programme.

Surfing is the core activity, but campers rotate through several disciplines — windsurf, skate, wing and SUP — so there is variety across the week and a chance to try something new. Lessons are both practical and theoretical, meaning campers spend time learning about the sea and conditions as well as being in it.

The excursions are a big part of the week: a sailboat trip, SUP into sea caves, a night in a tent under the stars, and a Wood Wave day. These are included in the programme rather than sold as extras.

Safety and insurance are handled centrally. Each participant is covered by an insurance policy plus CONI insurance and becomes a FISSW card-carrying member for the week.

Full board is included, covering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The daily schedule, accommodation details and the fee are set out in the camp brochure, which the school asks families to consult before applying. Registration is only confirmed once the full application process is complete: forms, medical certificate, deposit and receipt.
