Home › Retreats › Twice-Daily Yoga and Surf on the Pacific in El Salvador
El Salvador · 6 days · From USD 2195
The schedule is deliberately loose in the middle of the day. Mornings are structured: a 30-minute meditation, then a 75-minute yoga practice, then breakfast. From 11am to 4:30pm nothing is compulsory. You can take one of the optional group experiences, walk the two minutes to the beach, swim, surf, read, or sleep. Evening yoga runs 4:30–5:45pm and dinner is 6–8pm, with an optional group hangout afterwards.
Yoga runs twice daily, including the evening you arrive and the morning you leave, so you get practice on all five days rather than losing the first and last to travel. All props are supplied, so you don't need to pack a mat.
The four teachers — Allie Vespa-Gibbons, Brendan Gibbons, Dana Halsted-Moss and Melissa Sapol — lead the programme together. The page does not give their individual training backgrounds or certifications.
Casona Tunan is the venue. Guests have described the rooms as being like luxurious tree houses with big views, and one past guest singled out the temazcal ceremony in the smoke hut with eucalyptus, followed by cold pool dips, as the standout experience of the week.
The same team runs a second retreat at The Deerstone in Laragh, Ireland, 18–24 September 2028, with hot tub, cold plunge and saunas on site. That one has no prices yet.
