Home › Retreats › Urban Wellness Retreat with Daily Yoga in Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona · 6 days · From USD 650
The retreat is based in a modernista building from 1890, complete with its original elevator, colorful tiled floors, high decorated ceilings, and airy corridors—all preserved and mixed with a design refresh by the Barcelona studio PPT Interiors. The house is a five-minute walk from Liceu metro and a couple of minutes from Las Ramblas, but inside, the courtyard and thick walls keep it peaceful.
Days are simple and unstructured by design. Each morning, a 90-minute vinyasa-based class runs just for retreat guests, taught by a rotating lineup of international teachers—the roster changes weekly, so you might practice with Mar, who's got a 700-hour Ashtanga background, or with Judith, who mixes yoga with pilates and years of teaching experience. After brunch, the day is yours. Some people hit the beach, others wander the Gothic Quarter, and there's an option to book extra classes, massages, or day trips on site.
Evening practice happens on the rooftop terrace from late March through October, timed to catch the sunset over the city. From November to early spring, or on rainy days, classes move to a cozy indoor shala with a fireplace. From spring through summer, those evening classes open up to the local community, so you'll likely share the mat with Barcelona residents—a nice way to meet people beyond the retreat bubble.
The house is small, hosting up to 12 guests at a time, which keeps it feeling personal. The same team runs this center year-round, along with yoga retreats in Ibiza, Andorra, and on a sailing boat, but this is the flagship urban location. It's been operating for over a decade, and the staff—Ana, Penelope, and the teachers—get consistent shout-outs in reviews for being welcoming and helpful.
