Weekend Yoga and Thai Massage Retreat on an Organic Farm in the Costa Rican Mountains

Finca Agroecologica La Flor has been running as an agroecological project since 1998, focused on environmental and social awareness. The farm sits at about 1,200 meters above sea level, which means warm, sunny mornings and cool nights year-round. The land includes vegetable and medicinal gardens, farm animals, a botanical forest, and 10 hectares of regenerated secondary forest with walking trails.

Your host, Steven, is a movement teacher with a foundation in Ashtanga yoga and a deep interest in alignment and breath work. He also brings in elements from Thai massage, contact improv, capoeira, and acro yoga, making his Vinyasa flow sessions both functional and creative. He teaches in a way that aims to improve how your body and mind work in everyday life, not just how you look in a pose. Classes are open to all levels, with modifications offered so beginners feel at home and advanced practitioners still find challenge.

The retreat includes a 90-minute Thai massage, a deep and relaxing bodywork session. Meals are vegetarian, with produce sourced from the farm's own gardens and local farms, and accommodations are in simple, cozy cabins. The experience is designed to be a balance of movement, rest, community time, and time alone in nature.
