Home › Retreats › Wellness & Discovery Retreat in Oman: Yoga, Desert & Sea
Europe · 8 days · From USD 4420
The retreat starts in Muscat, where you'll meet your group at the Crowne Plaza hotel before heading into the desert in 4x4s. You'll spend two nights at a desert camp, where you'll try sandboarding, ride camels, and watch the sunset over the dunes. The first morning includes a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and a traditional Omani lunch at Rozna restaurant. Then you continue to Ras Al Jinz, a protected beach where green turtles come ashore to nest—you'll watch them at night with a guide. After that, you'll drive to Jebel Sifah, a marina resort between the mountains and the sea, where you'll spend the remaining four nights. Here, the daily rhythm is more relaxed: morning yoga or Tai Chi, breakfast, then either a hike to a hidden beach, a snorkeling trip, or time by the pool. Evenings include meditation, workshops, and a final beach dinner with music. The retreat is led by Myriam Desboeufs, founder of Blossom Yoga & Detox Retreats, who brings a background in sport and a holistic approach to well-being. Her style focuses on breath, precise alignment, and restoring natural energy. What makes this retreat stand out is the combination of wellness with genuine cultural immersion—you're not just doing yoga somewhere pretty; you're actively exploring Oman, its people, and its wildlife. The small group size, capped at 12, keeps it personal, and the range of activities means there's something for everyone, whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to meditation.
