Home › Retreats › Wellness Reset: Six Days of Integrated Healing and Meditation in Ubud, Bali
Indonesia · 6 days · From USD 3622
The retreat unfolds in deliberate stages, starting with arrival and release. You land, get settled into your room at GDAS Bali, and meet the wellness team for a private consultation that shapes your spa and Health Suite sessions. A Jet Lag Recovery Massage eases out the travel, and the first evening ends with intention setting and a quiet sunset meditation. It's a gentle start, because the point isn't to force anything—it's to let you actually arrive.
Mornings are the contemplative core of each day. As light comes over the rice fields, guests walk in silence, then move into pranayama, restorative yoga, or a NeuroVipassana™ session. David Rodríguez's method teaches you to watch your thoughts, sensations, and emotions without getting swept up in them. It builds a steadier relationship with stress that stays with you long after the week ends. Breakfast is a slow, plant-based affair—the food is vibrant and light, designed as part of the practice rather than just fuel.
The body gets its own through-line of care. Six Arana Spa treatments happen across the week, each one different—from Me-Apun's flowing Balinese massage to Batu Tukad's heated river stones and Buluh Cendani's warm bamboo. At the Health Suite, four sessions are chosen for you after the consultation, picking from cryotherapy, red-light therapy, Live O2, and salt therapy. It's not about cramming in every treatment; it's about the ones that genuinely serve you.
The week's heart is the full day of Mauna—noble silence. From the evening before, conversation and screens are set aside, and you move through silent walking meditation, restorative yoga, mindful meals, and a gong bath. It sounds challenging, but it's held with real care, and for most guests it's where the experience deepens from simple relaxation into something more self-aware. The Mebayuh ceremony follows, at the private home of a revered priest in Mas Village. It's a sincere ritual, ending with spiritual guidance, not a staged show. Later, a half-day outing into the rice terraces and local craft villages returns you gently to the outside world before the closing days of integration.
The retreat is run by Aureum, working out of GDAS Bali, and draws on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy of harmony between people, nature, and spirit. The property's own architecture and herb garden reflect that, adding to the sense that this is a place built for slower, more intentional living.
