Wellness Retreat with Yoga and Self-Reflection in Paleros, Greece

Greece · 8 days · From USD 693

Foodpath is not a resort with a yoga programme bolted on. It's a family home built around four pillars — food, spirit, art, and nature — where the retreat and the place are the same thing. Guests consistently rate the food as the highlight, scoring it 4.97 out of 5 across 171 reviews. The kitchen team serves fresh vegetarian meals twice a day using locally sourced and garden-grown produce, with a focus on simple, seasonal Greek flavours. Brunch is served at 10:00 AM and dinner at 7:30 PM, with water, herbal teas, and coffee available throughout the day. Dietary requirements like vegan, gluten-free, and nut allergies are accommodated with advance notice. Sundays are a complete day off, so no classes and no meals are provided — it's a chance to explore on your own or simply rest.

Mornings at Foodpath begin gently. At 8:30 AM there's a short meditation, pranayama (breathwork), and a yoga session, welcoming to all levels. This is followed by brunch, a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa styles, with instructors who adapt each practice to your body and comfort level. Afternoons are unstructured — you can walk to the beach, journal under the trees, or join optional group activities that form around the group's shared energy: hiking, sea kayaking, cooking classes, and herbal walks are all possible, arranged through the centre. Evenings bring a restorative session at 5:30 PM, which might be a guided meditation, a reflective workshop, or a calming yoga practice, guided by the mood of the group. Dinner follows at 7:30 PM, and after that the time is your own.

The instructors are a key part of the experience. Antonios, also known as Shankar, is the chef and a co-founder of Foodpath. Born in 1976, he has trained in energetic diets, yoga, meditation, and holistic approaches to well-being, and holds a certified Yoga Teacher Training qualification. He has received initiations in Dzogchen and Kriya Yoga, and has followed a continuous Sadhana practice guided by Guruji Rajkumar Baswar. Ludovica, a yoga teacher, brings a blend of dynamic and gentle classes shaped by her training in vinyasa, yin, yoga therapy, and Pilates. Kareena, a facilitator, creates spaces for embodiment and nervous system awareness work. Between them, they cover a range of styles.
