Kenya · 7 days · From USD 9352
Set on 4,500 acres of private conservancy in Laikipia County, this week is about slowing down and getting back to nature. Each morning starts with vinyasa yoga on a deck that overlooks the plains. After that, the day splits: you can join a guided game drive to track elephants and lions, take a bush walk with the guides, go horseback riding across the open grasslands, or cycle through the bush. The conservancy is exclusive-use, which means you won't share the land with other tourists.
Afternoons are mostly free. You can float in the pool, book a massage, or simply nap in the shade. As the sun drops, there's yin yoga and meditation. Evenings often end around a long candlelit table with a shared dinner, or you might find yourself on a night drive under the African sky.
The camp itself is comfortable and smart. Tented cottages open onto the watering hole, with ensuite bathrooms, Wi-Fi in areas, and a terrace. The pool sits among palms and fever trees. It's not roughing it—this is a high-end safari camp with proper beds, hot water, and staff to look after you.
Your host is Laura Bunting, a 500-hour certified yoga teacher who moved to Kenya full-time. She designed the retreat to work for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. The idea is to feel supported, not stretched. You'll leave with your head clearer, your body rested, and a new understanding of what a safari can be.
