Home › Retreats › Winter Yoga Weekend in the Ardennes with Sauna and Forest Walks
Ardennes · 3 days · From EUR 435
The setting does most of the talking here. The house sits on top of a rock looking down at the river Semois and the surrounding woods, beside the village of Chiny. The terrace has a bit of history: King Baudoin of Belgium had lunch on it, and local rumour says Jacques Brel wrote 'Rosas' on a tablecloth at this spot. The grand belvédère is a 180° window onto the valley.
Yoga runs to a fixed shape over the weekend: a guided meditation each morning, three extended classes to work on connection to your natural functional body, and one workshop-style class. Everything is mixed level, with variations and assistance given for each level, so you are not expected to arrive with an advanced practice.
The wellness area has a dry sauna and a relaxation area, and a massage therapist is on site. Between sessions the forests around Chiny are open for hiking and cycling, which you can do in your free time. The house is about 1 hour 30 minutes' drive from Brussels.
Food is included and mostly vegan, with enough macro and micro nutrients to keep you going and plenty of flavour. Tea, coffee and snacks are part of the price. The weekend starts at 5pm on Friday and ends at 4pm on Sunday.
Spaces are limited and booking is by email to michel@popupyogaconcepts.be with the retreat name in the subject line, or by phone on +32(0)472 946 127. A €150 deposit secures your place. Carpooling can be arranged among guests if you are coming without a car.
