Women's Treehouse Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat in Minnesota's Ancient Pines

United States · 3 days · From USD 344

The retreat takes place in a Superior Treehouse nestled among ancient pines along the Kettle River, about 1.5 hours from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The property feels like a childhood dream—warm interiors, cozy beds, private bathrooms, and forest views. There’s a yoga deck, a garden, and the constant sound of the river below. The land itself is a big part of the experience: you’re high in the trees, surrounded by the steady quiet of nature.

Sarah Cherry, the host, is an ERYT-500 yoga instructor, personal trainer, coach, Reiki master, and sound healing practitioner. She runs Live Your Truth Yoga, teaching everything from local classes in Stillwater, Minnesota, to retreats in Costa Rica and Wisconsin. Her approach blends yoga with neuroscience and energy work, but always with a focus on safety and feeling seen. She describes herself as a space holder, someone who helps you set down what you’ve been carrying, rather than a guru who has all the answers.

The itinerary is intentionally balanced. You arrive Friday evening for a welcome dinner and an opening fire circle where you set intentions. Saturday is the heart of the retreat: a long morning practice with yoga, meditation, and breathwork, followed by breakfast, a mandala art workshop in nature, free time, then restorative yin yoga, dinner, and a fire ceremony. Sunday wraps up with another morning practice, a closing circle, and brunch before checkout at 11am.

What makes this retreat different is the deliberate smallness. With only a handful of women, it doesn’t feel like a retreat factory. You’re not shuffled from one activity to the next. There’s space to actually rest, to feel the forest, to connect with the women around you. The emphasis is on safety—in your body, in the group, in the silence—rather than pushing for some kind of breakthrough. That said, women often do leave feeling lighter, more connected, and deeply nourished.
