Europe · 3 days · From EUR 368
Day one starts in the afternoon. You arrive, get settled into your room or yurt, and meet the group over a light snack before an opening circle and a gentle evening yoga session. Dinner is communal, and the first night usually ends with a guided meditation or yoga nidra to help everyone land after travel.
Day two is the fullest day. There's a morning yoga class before breakfast, a guided meditation or breathwork session, and then a longer block of outdoor time — usually a silent or semi-silent walk through the pines. After lunch there's free time for reading, napping, or walking on your own, followed by a restorative or yin practice in the late afternoon. In the evening there's a ceremonial element — often a fire ceremony or a releasing ritual — and dinner is shared.
Day three is shorter. You get a final morning yoga session and breakfast, then a closing circle where people usually talk about what they're taking home. You leave by late morning or midday, which makes it easy to drive back the same day.
The food is vegetarian and tailored to the group's dietary needs. You'll be asked about allergies and preferences before you arrive, and meals are cooked on site — soups, grain bowls, roasted vegetables, simple breakfasts with fruit and coffee. Nothing fancy, but it's warm and it's made for you.
What makes this different from a standard yoga weekend is the accommodation and the group size. You're sleeping in a treehouse or a yurt, not a hotel corridor, and the whole thing is capped small enough that it stays quiet. The facilitator team is confirmed before your stay, so you'll know who's teaching. The retreat is run by Live Your Truth Yoga, and the leader is Sarah Draayer, who is listed as the contact for the room options.
Minnesota in autumn is a specific thing — cool mornings, warm afternoons, and the pines holding their colour while everything else turns. It's a short drive from the Twin Cities, so it works as a weekend away rather than a big trip.
