Yin Yoga Teacher Training Retreat in Cozumel, Mexico

The training covers the principles of functional Yin Yoga, based on the work of Paul Grilley. Over four days, you'll explore the differences between aesthetic alignment and functional alignment, how skeletal variation affects range of motion, and the principles of stretching and compression in asana. You'll also learn about the relationship between meridians and Yin Yoga, and the physiological effects of Yin on fascia, connective tissue, and joint health.

Each day follows a rhythm: an early morning Yin class, a lecture in the afternoon, and another gentle session in the evening. There is plenty of free time to explore Cozumel, relax by the pool, or just rest. The training includes a cacao gathering and a mantra chanting session, adding a ceremonial element to the program.

Tugba Ekler is your lead teacher. She has over 500 RYT certified hours and has been guiding aspiring teachers since 2007. She is also a feminine coach and retreat leader, and her approach blends intuition and embodied leadership. Accommodation is at Tu Casa B&B, a 3-star bed and breakfast with just seven rooms, about a 25-minute walk from the Reef Monument and a short drive from Chankanaab Park. The rooms are simple and comfortable, with private bathrooms, minibars, and satellite TV. You can choose a private room, a shared dorm, or just the course tuition without accommodation.
