Home › Retreats › Yoga and Marine Biology Retreat in Curacao
Curacao · 7 days · From USD 2050
The retreat is built around two things: yoga and the ecology of Curacao. Each morning Nura leads a two-hour practice at the villa that includes pranayama and meditation. After brunch, the group heads out with marine biologist Steph Archer, who has spent thousands of hours in Caribbean waters studying marine life and the ecosystems they form. Excursions go to local beaches and sights, and Steph explains what you are looking at — the reef, the fish, how the island's natural systems work. Some afternoons are free; the schedule shows an excursion most days, then dinner together at a local restaurant at 6:30pm, followed by an evening reflection or gathering.
The villa is exclusive to the group, with shared or private rooms. It is a base for the week, not a resort with a full programme of its own. The daily rhythm is set: yoga, brunch, excursion, dinner, reflection. The retreat is not a fitness bootcamp or a detox — the yoga is extended and reflective rather than athletic, and the focus is on observing the island's nature and your own responses to it.
Steph Archer is the marine biology guide; Nura is the yoga teacher. Between them they lead the week. The group size is not stated on the page, but the villa and the shared meals suggest a small group. The price includes daily yoga, brunch and dinner, accommodation, daily excursions and transport on the island. Flights to Willemstad, snacks, drinks and extra nights are not included. A USD 450 deposit is due at registration and is non-refundable unless the retreat is cancelled.
