Yoga and Pilates Week on Amorgos Island, Greece

The week runs from 28 September to 4 October 2023, based at a family-run hotel built on the cliffs of Amorgos. Stephanie Serpa and Elaina St. John lead Power Yoga, Yoga Sculpt and Inferno Pilates classes each day, so the schedule mixes vinyasa-style flow, weighted sculpt work and hot Pilates-style conditioning rather than one style throughout.

Mornings and afternoons are broken up by meals and free time. Full board means breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, starting with dinner on arrival night and finishing with breakfast on departure morning; drinks at lunch and dinner are extra. The rest of the day is yours — the hotel is close to the bay and a short walk from sandy beaches, and there are hiking trails and underwater caves nearby for anyone who wants to explore beyond the pool.

The spa is included in the price: sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, an indoor heated seawater swimming pool and a fitness centre. That gives you somewhere to stretch out or swim on the days you are not in class.

One day of the week is a tender boat excursion, taking the group out on the water around the island. Group ground transport between the port on Amorgos and the retreat centre is also included, so the transfer from the ferry is handled.

Amorgos itself is one of the quieter Greek islands — cliffside paths, a bay below the hotel and beaches within walking distance. The hotel is described as simply and elegantly decorated, with sea views from every room.
