Kos Island · 8 days · From USD 1075
Mornings start with an active Hatha flow yoga session, held outdoors or in the open-air shala that looks out over the olive trees. Class is followed by a buffet breakfast built on local, organic, and sustainable produce, with proper coffee and herbal teas on hand. The afternoons are yours. Most guests walk to the beach for a swim—the coast is close enough to reach on foot—or take one of the available bikes to explore the island on their own schedule.
In the evenings, after a yin yoga class, everyone gathers for dinner, a world-infused style meal prepared by the kitchen staff from the same local and organic ingredients. One evening the group heads to Therma, a set of natural hot springs right by the sea. It's a simple thing—floating in warm water while the waves break nearby and the stars come out—but it's the kind of evening people remember.
The final evening is a sunset meditation at Hippocrates Altis, a spot close to the Asklepion, the ancient healing sanctuary of Hippocrates, who was born on Kos. The setting gives the closing session a quiet, ceremonial feel that most guests find genuinely moving.
Marja leads the yoga, and she's the reason many guests return. Her teaching is described as thoughtful, grounding, and welcoming to all levels—absolute beginners get clear guidance and permission to rest or modify any pose, while more experienced yogis, including working yoga teachers, find plenty to deepen into. Reviews consistently mention the care she puts into her classes and the warm, patient atmosphere she creates.
