Yoga and Wellness Retreats in Megève, French Alps

French Alps · 4 days · From EUR 1800

Megève sits at 1,113 m in the French Alps, and Les Fermes de Marie is a short walk from the village centre. The property is made up of several restored Savoyard farm buildings — rough timber, old stone, fireplaces, a lot of wood — arranged around gardens and a spa. It is a hotel first and a retreat venue second, which is why the retreat programs are run by outside specialists who come in rather than by in-house staff.

Tiger Yoga Club handles the yoga weeks, two of which are on this page. The summer edition (5–9 July 2026, up to 12 people) runs four days and pairs Ashtanga Vinyasa — a fast, breath-synchronised series — with Yin Yoga, which is slow and held. A mountain walk is part of the schedule, and there is a Skin Gym session in the mix. The autumn edition (18–22 October 2026, up to 12 people, 4 nights) shifts to Kundalini yoga, adds a Yin Yang session, a sharing circle and meditation in the mountains, and is timed to the start of the off-season.

The other programs are private and smaller. Pure Performance (4 days, 3 nights, up to 6 people) is led by Florent Berthaut, who works on physical preparation and performance, and combines adapted training, mental preparation and nutrition with outdoor sessions, Nordic walking and long-distance trail running. Pure Reconnection (4 days, 3 nights, up to 10 people) is led by Charline, a nutrition specialist, and covers Goddess Yoga, meditation, silent walks and a drainage workshop. Alpine Bike Bliss (3 days, 3 nights, up to 10 people) is a guided e-MTB trip around Mont-Blanc, designed with MB Bike Megève, with routes for all levels and daily picnics.

What separates this from a dedicated yoga centre is the setting and the spa. The Pure Altitude Spa traces back to 1990, when Jocelyne Sibuet set up La Ferme de Beauté here; the treatments use mountain plant-based products made for the brand, and every retreat program includes time in the spa — massages, facials and body work. If you are coming for yoga, you get a hotel, a spa and a village on your doorstep rather than a bare retreat centre. If you are coming for the sport week, you get a serious coach and genuine Alpine terrain to run and walk on.

It is worth being clear about what this is not: there is no set daily timetable published across the whole program, and the individual retreats each run their own schedule, so what you actually do each day depends on the week. The programs are short — three to five days — and the yoga weeks cap at 12 people, the sports weeks at 6 or 10.
