Maldives · 7 days
Wild Kat Yoga has been running retreats since at least 2018, with past trips to Iceland, Greece and the Scottish Highlands. The 2026 line-up moves to Africa and the Indian Ocean, with two safari-and-conservation weeks and one ocean-conservation week.
The Kenya retreat runs from Monday 27 July to Sunday 2 August 2026 and has 4 spaces left. It's based in a safari setting, with game drives and conservation work alongside daily yoga. The Zimbabwe trip follows from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 October 2026 and has 2 spaces left. It's also a safari-and-conservation week, so expect time in the bush, guided drives and talks with the people protecting the wildlife. The Maldives retreat is Sunday 8 to Sunday 15 November 2026, with 7 spaces left. This one is about the ocean — snorkelling, reef conservation and boat time — with yoga on land.
Kat leads all three. A review from the Wild Winter Iceland retreat says she 'was blown away by her ability to work through poses with people of all sizes and varying athletic abilities', and that the guest 'left with a true sense of well-being and personal contentment'. That's a fair picture of how the classes run: mixed-level, with adjustments for everyone.
Each retreat has its own character. The safaris are for people who want early mornings, dusty drives and the chance to see elephants, lions and rhinos in the wild, then come back and stretch out. The Maldives week is warmer and slower — more swimming, more reef, more time in the water. All three are small groups, so you'll get to know the others quickly.
Because the groups are capped and spaces are already limited (4, 2 and 7 left respectively), these tend to fill up. The price for each trip depends on the destination and room type; the operator provides full details on enquiry. If you want a specific week, it's worth asking early.
