Guatemala · 6 days
Casa Floresta is a wellness retreat centre on Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, built around a newly constructed temple space for yoga, chanting, music concerts and plant medicine ceremonies. The centre hosts a changing calendar of guest-led retreats throughout the year, so what you actually do depends on which week you book.
A typical yoga week runs five nights, with morning practice, meditation and journaling, and afternoons left open. The Rooted Living retreat with Sam Wiesner (12–17 October 2026) is built for burn-out recovery: sacred morning silence, daily meditation, vinyasa, journaling and time on the land, with restorative practice and self-inquiry woven through. The Four Elements retreat with Larissa (3–8 February 2027) gives each day to one element, with the yoga classes, workshops and activities themed around it.
Other weeks lean away from yoga. Belonging (20–25 October 2026) is a six-day, five-night 5Rhythms Waves residential retreat. Breathwave Level 1 (26 October – 1 November 2026) is a breathwork training with certified facilitators. Initiation (16–28 November 2026) is a 100-hour sound ceremony training. Bigger Life Adventures runs an ayahuasca retreat for recovery (23–28 January 2027) with two plant medicine ceremonies. Forest Path Immersion (14–18 February 2027) is four days with three consecutive nights of ceremony, closing with a day of integration by the lake — yoga, sharing circle, sauna and plant baths.
Women-only weeks include Mujer Esencial (29 November – 2 December 2026, held in Spanish between Antigua and Lake Atitlán), Rebirth & Bloom with Coherence Retreats (16–22 March 2027, timed to the spring equinox) and Feminine Fire with Thurayya Retreats (24–29 March 2027). There are also shorter events: three-hour Voice Medicine community workshops with Hayley, Ayana and Keenan, and monthly chanting concerts led by Jayā and Saraswatī.
The centre also rents itself out to teachers who want to host their own retreat, and offers help with logistics and add-on services.
