Step out of everyday life for a weekend and give yourself time to practise, rest and recharge. Retreat traditionally means a (spiritual) withdrawal. For generations, yoga practitioners have regularly stepped away from daily routine to go deeper into their practice, gain fresh insight and reconnect with their inner resources. That is exactly the intention of this Friday-to-Sunday retreat with yoga and meditation teacher Milla Ganz.
The weekend takes place at Seminarhaus Sampurna in Schlangenbad-Bärstadt, a dedicated yoga and seminar house in the countryside of Hessen, not far from Wiesbaden and Frankfurt. A full programme of yoga classes, guided meditation, pranayama (breathwork), deep relaxation and inspiring yoga talks is balanced with time to simply be. Group sharing rounds and practical advice on building a better yoga practice at home help you take the experience back into daily life.
Milla is a yoga and meditation teacher (BYV) and yoga personal trainer (AYA) with many years of experience, trained broadly in yoga and psychotherapy. She combines traditional teaching with modern Western insight and teaches in a clear, empathetic way. Her classes focus on back- and joint-friendly alignment, conscious breathing and mindful self-observation, creating an atmosphere of trust in which participants can relax, let go and recharge.
The retreat suits both beginners and experienced practitioners. Yoga equipment is provided, and the sauna and rest room at Sampurna are yours to use. Accommodation and full board are booked directly with Seminarhaus Sampurna (or you can stay at any hotel nearby). The seminar is recognised as a prevention course and is subsidised by most German statutory health insurers.
