21-Day Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Meditation & TCM Wellness Retreat in Linyi, China

China · 21 days · From USD 989

Three weeks in the Tianmeng Mountains give you the time and space to build a genuine, sustained wellness practice. This 21-day retreat brings together qi gong, tai chi, meditation and Traditional Chinese Medicine, caring for both body and spirit. It suits anyone drawn to a slower, more deliberate way of living, whether you are entirely new to these practices or returning to deepen them. All levels are welcome, and your training can be tuned to your individual health and fitness, so you progress at a pace that is right for you.

Under the guidance of the masters, you will move through qi gong, tai chi and meditation each day, and learn about TCM and herbal wellness as part of the programme. Afternoon sessions cover wellness training, meditation and traditional Chinese medicine activities such as preparing herbal soup, so your understanding grows alongside your practice. The intention is not a crash course but a steady daily rhythm you can carry home, with real time set aside to rest and recover.

The setting matters here. The academy sits on Tianmeng Mountain in Linyi, Shandong Province, within a UNESCO World Geopark and a recognised World Longevity Area. It is a place that lends itself to stillness and recovery. Your single private room comes with hot water, heating in winter and a fan or air conditioning in summer, with extra blankets provided. Shared spaces include a dining area, kitchen, meditation garden, table tennis, air-conditioned common areas, free Wi-Fi and laundry, along with Western toilets and private shower cabins in separate male and female bathrooms.

A typical day begins at 06:00 with morning practice: meditation on Mondays and Thursdays, tai chi on Tuesdays and Fridays, or qi gong on Wednesdays. Breakfast follows at 07:00, then the morning is given over to qi gong, tai chi and meditation with the masters. After lunch and rest, the afternoon turns to wellness training, meditation and TCM activities. Dinner is followed by free time, with doors closing at 21:30 and lights out at 22:00 so you get proper rest. Three freshly prepared meals a day are provided on a full-board basis, with vegetarian, vegan and halal options, and the traditional Chinese medicine herbal soups form part of the wellness programme.

The 21-Day Wellness & TCM Retreat Camp is 828 USD and covers all training, accommodation in a private room, three meals a day, airport or train station transfers, tuition, the application fee and one uniform. Free pick-up and drop-off is offered at Linyi Shubuling Airport or Linyi train station, and Wi-Fi is included throughout. Please note that the TCM doctor, herbs and treatments are charged separately by the doctor, as are any taxi and translator fees to attend those appointments. Flights and travel to China, your visa and travel insurance, bottled water and personal supplies such as a toothbrush, shampoo and washing powder, and other personal expenses are not included.

If you have been looking for the time to rest properly, learn from experienced masters and settle into a daily practice, three weeks in these mountains offer exactly that.
