Rishikesh · 58 days · From USD 1299
Deep Yoga Wellness sits on Badrinath Road in Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, about 13–14 km from Yog Nagari Rishikesh railway station and a short walk from the Ganga. The school runs the 500-hour training as a combination of its 200- and 300-hour courses: month one covers the Ashtanga primary series week by week, from sun salutations A and B through the standing, seated and finishing sequences to Mysore-style practice and teaching practice. Month two starts with guided primary series and Mysore practice, then moves into the intermediate series halfway through, finishing with full intermediate series and Mysore-style teaching practice.
Alongside Ashtanga, the syllabus covers Vinyasa flow sequencing and cueing, yoga philosophy (the Yoga Sutras, the nadis, chakras, the eight limbs, pancha vayus and panchakoshas), applied anatomy and physiology, pranayama and shatkarma cleansing practices, teaching methodology, asana alignment and adjustment, and meditation. In the last week of each course, students prepare their own flow and guide the class.
The teachers are not named on the page, so ask the school directly who will lead your intake. What is clear is the structure: eight sessions a day, six days a week, with Sundays free. The school also adds optional extras that are not part of the syllabus but are included: sound healing, kirtan, beach yoga, acro yoga, yin yoga, partner yoga and periods of observing silence.
Accommodation is on site in shared or private rooms with attached bathrooms. Meals are vegetarian, with gluten-free and vegan options, and tea is served through the day. The campus is alcohol- and smoke-free, has CCTV, a 24-hour reception and water supply, Wi-Fi, a low-cost laundry service and a washing machine. A full-body Ayurvedic massage, yoga books, a training manual, a cleansing kit and notebooks are included, and there is free pickup from Dehradun Airport, Rishikesh bus station or Rishikesh railway station.
What makes this different from a shorter course is the length: 54 days of accommodation and two months of daily practice, which is what the 500-hour certification requires. It is also priced plainly, with the same rates across all listed 2026 and early-2027 start dates: US$1,299 for 5/6-sharing, US$1,499 for 3/4-sharing, US$1,799 for twin shared and US$2,199 for a private room.
