The core of the course is three styles taught side by side. Hatha gives you the alignment and the slow, held postures. Vinyasa teaches you to link breath and movement into flowing sequences. Ashtanga gives you a set series you can practise on your own for years. Learning all three means you leave able to teach more than one kind of class, which matters if you want to pick up work at studios or retreats after you qualify.
A typical day follows the same shape. It starts early with meditation, mantra chanting and pranayama, then a long asana session before breakfast. After breakfast come the classroom sessions: yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology, where you learn how to cue, adjust and plan a class. The afternoon brings a second practice session, and evenings close with something quieter, like meditation or reflective practice. The school splits hours between asana, pranayama, chanting, meditation, philosophy and anatomy in line with Yoga Alliance standards, so no single subject crowds out the rest.
What sets this school apart from a lot of other Goa trainings is the Ayurveda and naturopathy side. Alongside the yoga, the school brings in Ayurvedic ideas about diet and daily routine, herbal remedies and natural therapies. Food is part of that too: meals are sattvic, meaning light, fresh, vegetarian cooking without onion-heavy, fried or heavily spiced dishes, chosen to suit a heavy practice schedule. The school also runs aerial yoga teacher training, so if you want to try it, that's on offer here.
The teachers are Indian yoga masters. The page doesn't name individuals, but past students consistently mention them first. One describes them making you "feel so relaxed and comfortable that you forget the fear of anything while learning", and another singles out the philosophy classes as the part that deepened their understanding most.
Agonda itself is a long, quiet beach in south Goa, much less built up than the party beaches further north. Expect a strip of beach huts and small cafés, turtle-nesting season at one end of the bay, and sunsets over the water most evenings. The school's address is Agonda Beach Road, so the beach is a short walk from where you train and sleep.
Graduates receive a Yoga Alliance-recognised 200-hour certificate. Students who want to keep going can come back for the 300-hour advanced training, held in Goa or Rishikesh, which builds directly on this course.
