This is a women's backcountry ski and yoga retreat set in the Patagonian Andes, run from a private lakeside lodge near Bariloche, Argentina. It is built for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders, with separate departures for each level, so you can join whichever suits your experience. If you are comfortable with the physical demands of uphill travel and off-piste descents, and you want to pair that with proper time to rest and reset, this is for you. Being a women's retreat, it also lends itself well to solo travellers looking to join a like-minded group.
The skiing here is the heart of it. You will tour and splitboard in the backcountry with IFMGA-certified guides and pro snowboarder Alenka Mali, with much of the terrain reached by boat across the lake. Days move through lenga forest, alpine bowls above treeline and, for those ready, technical couloirs, with gentler tree skiing kept open for the intermediate group. Avalanche safety practice is built into the week. Alongside the skiing, there are fear-management and wellness workshops, so the mountain side of the retreat is about confidence and good decisions as much as descents.
The setting is a private lakeside lodge on Lake Nahuel Huapi, near Bariloche. With the touring accessed by boat from this base, the retreat has a secluded, private feel. You stay seven nights here, and the lodge is where the days begin and end, from the opening circle on arrival to the traditional Patagonian asado and closing circle near the end of the week.
A typical day pairs guided backcountry skiing or snowboarding with daily yoga and meditation, so movement outdoors is balanced by time to recover. The week has a restoration day woven in, with yoga, meditation, sauna and optional resort riding, plus full-body recovery massages and a spa day. There is also a boat cruise on Lake Nahuel Huapi. The exact daily schedule varies with weather and conditions, so expect a flexible itinerary and plans that shift to make the most of the mountains.
Everything is covered once you arrive. The package is all-inclusive: seven nights at the lodge, all meals — breakfast, lunch and dinner — prepared by a private in-house chef with gourmet, healthy dishes, superfood snacks and the asado to finish. Guided skiing with the IFMGA guides and Alenka Mali, daily yoga and meditation, the boat cruise, recovery massages and spa day, all permits and backcountry snacks, professional photos and videos, the fear-management and wellness workshops, airport transfers and transport between activities, and LUX welcome gifts are all included.
A few things sit outside the price. You will need to arrange your airfare to Bariloche (BRC) and travel insurance, which is required. Alcohol is not included, guide gratuities of 5–10% are customary, and personal ski or snowboard gear is your own, though rentals are available. If you have dietary requirements or allergies, let the organisers know in advance, and do share your arrival details so transfers can be arranged. There are two packages: an early-bird rate at 4000 USD, available until 1 January, and the standard rate at 4200 USD, each limited to a maximum of eight guests.
