Malva's retreats run 5 to 7 days, which she considers the sweet spot for a first retreat: long enough to arrive, land and slow down, short enough not to feel like a huge commitment. The teaching is guided for all levels, and no yoga experience is needed to join. Classes include options and hands-on help throughout.
A real day from the Ibiza retreat: 7:30 meditation, 8:00 vinyasa practice, 9:30 cold plunge, golden latte or green smoothie, 11:00 brunch, 12:00 excursion, free time or a workshop, 16:00 evening practice, 19:00 dinner, 20:00 relaxing by the fire. The middle of the day is deliberately empty. If you would rather sleep in or skip the excursion, that is fine.
What separates these weeks from a generic yoga holiday is the range of signature experiences attached to each destination. Surfing in Morocco, handpan in Puglia, cooking in Sicily, and a New Year's Eve fire at Suryalila in Spain. Suryalila is about an hour from Seville, so the transfer is short.
Food is vegetarian at both Suryalila and in Ibiza, and Malva says it is usually one of the highlights of the week. Allergies and diets are handled if you tell the organiser before booking.
Most people arrive alone. Malva notes that by the second evening the group is usually laughing at dinner like old friends. One guest, Elisabetta M., left a Google review saying she signed up without knowing Malva and it turned into one of the most beautiful experiences of her life.
Mats and props are provided, so you do not need to bring your own. Malva also publishes guidance on what to pack, how to spot a retreat that is not actually beginner-friendly, and what a retreat centre looks like inside.
