This is a women's retreat on Mexico's Emerald Coast, set in Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, and it is built for anyone drawn to the idea of combining rock climbing, surfing and wellness in one week. It is beginner-friendly, so no experience is needed — just show up. Whether you have never tied into a rope or paddled for a wave, the daily coaching is there to meet you where you are. It suits solo travellers well, since the days are shaped around shared activities that make it easy to connect with the other women on the trip.

The practice runs across three strands. You will have daily rock-climbing coaching along with lead-climbing clinics organised by level, so there is room to progress at your own pace. Ocean surf sessions happen daily too, including a sunrise surf and an afternoon at Playa Carrizalillo. Running alongside the climbing and surfing is a full wellness thread: daily yoga, plus breathwork, mobility work and a sound bath, with a women's circle and meditation during the week.

Everything is based at a private oceanfront villa in Puerto Escondido, which is both where you stay and where much of the retreat takes place. You will spend six nights here, with an infinity pool on hand for the spa and zen day. Beyond the villa, the week steps out into the surrounding landscape with a jungle and waterfall hike, a chef lunch and a sound bath on the rest day.

A day tends to balance the active with the restorative. Mornings might bring climbing coaching or a sunrise surf; afternoons move to the water or into lead clinics by level; evenings wind down with yoga, breathwork and mobility. The week opens with a sunset ceremony after you arrive and settle in, builds through climbing, surfing and wellness across the middle days, folds in a dedicated rest day away from climbing, and closes with a women's circle, a spa and zen day, and finally a closing ceremony and farewell breakfast before your transfer.

The Climb, Surf & Yoga Week is priced at 2829 USD and is all-inclusive, with a maximum of ten women. It covers six nights in the private oceanfront villa, three chef-prepared meals daily featuring the local fishermen's fresh catch, daily rock-climbing coaching and lead clinics, daily surf sessions, and daily yoga alongside breathwork, mobility and a sound bath. Also included are the spa and zen day, the jungle and waterfall hike, airport transfers to and from Puerto Escondido airport (PXM), and a LUX Life welcome package on arrival.

A few things sit outside the price. Airfare to Puerto Escondido (PXM) is not included, and you will want to book flights arriving into PXM. Travel insurance is required but not included, and alcohol, gratuities for staff and guides, and climbing shoes are excluded too, though shoe rentals are available on request. With meals, coaching and transfers taken care of, the week is set up for you to simply arrive, climb, surf and unwind on Mexico's Emerald Coast.
