Holiday Healthy: A Four-Day Fitness and Wellness Weekend on Paradise Island

Bahamas · 4 days

Day one is gentle. You arrive, check in, and at 4:00 pm head to the Beach Deck for 'Vino & Vinyasa'. That's 45 minutes of restorative yoga and guided breathwork aimed at shaking off the flight, followed by a botanical wine tasting. It sets the tone for the weekend: you're working on your health, but the celebrating stays in.

December 5 is the busiest morning. 'Metabolic Reset' starts at 8:00 am in the Versailles Gardens with strength work, sculpting moves and low-impact intervals. At 9:00 you go straight to the padel courts for an intro clinic covering grip, positioning and how to play with a partner. At 10:00, on Versailles Terrace East, 'Beauty Rest' combines restorative yoga, slow breathing and aromatherapy, and ends with an express facial mask.

December 6 opens with Pilates in the Versailles Pool. You do core work and cardio in the water, which adds resistance without hammering your joints. At 9:00 there's a mobility and stretching class with some targeted muscle release. That evening, at 4:30 pm in the Martini Bar, there's a talk on making lower-sugar and zero-proof holiday drinks with fresh botanicals. Then guests split into teams to invent a 'clean cocktail', which the resort's culinary team judges on taste, presentation and creativity.

The last session, 'The Sleep Suite', runs at 8:00 am on December 7 inside an Ocean View Suite. The room's light, temperature, sound and scent are set up to help you wind down, and you do a breathwork routine. After that comes a talk on how to set up your own bedroom at home for better sleep.

The programme is led by Nora Tobin, a certified integrative health coach and keynote speaker who has worked with Four Seasons for years. The page also says coaching comes from 'Nora and Torrey', but gives no further details about Torrey.

The setting does a lot of the work. The Ocean Club sits on Paradise Island, just off Nassau, with formal Versailles Gardens, three pools, and a white-sand beach that runs about 8 km along the north shore. Outside the programme you can use three Har-Tru tennis courts (one lit at night), two padel courts, an outdoor gym with weights, ropes and kettlebells, free bikes and paddle boards, and a Balinese-style spa.
