Sound Healing Teacher Training (Level I–IV) in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka · From USD 3000 (indicative)

This nine-day Sound Healing Teacher Training brings you through Levels I–IV in a single, focused stay in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. It suits you if you want to understand sound healing properly, from its foundations through to instructor-level practice, and come away with a recognised qualification. The course is structured to build your knowledge step by step, so each level grows naturally from the one before. Graduates receive Level IV SHVSA certification with 80 hours of YACEP credits.

You begin with the history and science of sound healing, then move steadily towards advanced, instructor-level work. Along the way you work with Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, voice work and chakra alignment, and you explore therapeutic applications for specific conditions. The training is hands-on throughout, with live demonstrations alongside instruction, so you spend your time playing, listening and practising rather than simply taking notes. With the group capped at 15 students, there is room for you to ask questions and receive attention as your skills develop.

The training takes place amid nature by the coast in Hikkaduwa, a setting that gives the days a calm, unhurried backdrop for such attentive work. Opening and closing ceremonies frame the programme, and local and cultural experiences are woven in, giving you a sense of the place beyond the training room.

A typical day starts early, with a sound session from 08:15 to 09:15 before breakfast at 09:30. You return for sound sessions from 11:00 to 12:30 and again from 12:30 to 14:00, then break for lunch. The afternoon brings an hour for rest and self-study from 15:00, followed by sound healing practice from 16:00 to 17:00. Your evenings are free, leaving you time to rest, reflect or explore on your own terms.

You can choose from three packages. The Private Room package (4,200 USD) and the Shared Room package (3,700 USD) both include the full Level I–IV training, accommodation, a healthy organic breakfast and lunch each day, the training manual, certification and materials. The Non-Residential package (3,000 USD) covers the Level I–IV training only, with no accommodation or meals. Across the programme, you also receive the Sound Healing Training Manual, journaling supplies and school materials, the opening and closing ceremonies, and the local and cultural experiences.

Flights and airport transfers, travel insurance and any visa you may need are not included, nor are dinner and drinks outside the scheduled meals. Optional add-ons, such as an Ayurveda consultation or private sessions, are available separately should you wish to deepen your stay.
