The week is built around a crossing rather than a single base. You begin in Marrakech, in the lanes of the medina, then travel over the High Atlas and through the oasis towns of the Drâa valley before reaching the sand. Accommodation shifts with the landscape: a riad in Marrakech, then tents in the desert camp.
A typical day in the dunes starts with yoga facing the sand as the light comes up, followed by breakfast prepared by the nomadic team. Then the group walks — a gentle route through dunes and open ground, not a forced march. Lunch is followed by free time for a nap, a book or just sitting and looking at the desert. In the afternoon there is yoga, meditation or a workshop, then dinner together and a slow practice before bed under open sky.
Mylène Lannoy runs the yoga, breathwork and meditation. She facilitates the whole week, including the workshops, and describes the space she holds as one where people can let go at their own speed. The desert logistics — guides, camel handlers, cooking, camp setup — are handled by the team at Sahara Soul Treks, who work in the Sahara regularly and follow local custom and the pace of the terrain.
What separates this from a yoga week at a fixed resort is the walking and the sleeping arrangements. You are moving through the landscape on foot, and part of the week is spent in tents among the dunes rather than in a room. The full moon is planned as a high point of the stay.
Early April in Morocco means sunny days around 22–28°C and cooler desert nights, which is comfortable for outdoor practice and for walking. The group is capped at fifteen, so the teaching stays close and the camp stays small.
